The second round of qualifying is now complete with Tessmann taking the Pro Truggy TQ and David Ronnefalk taking the TQ in Pro Ebuggy.
Pro Truggy:
Ty Tessmann (1st): Tessmann would bounce back from a disappointing 2nd in qualifier one. Ty was extremely happy with how easy his truck was to drive even having one marshal. He didn't have plans to make any changes for the 3rd round.
Ryan Maifield (2nd): Maifield had a bad start tangling with another driver. He explained that the changes he made were good but he took too long to catch a rhythm. Ryan plans to make more shock changes for R3.
Joe Bornhorst (3rd): Joe had a relatively quiet 3rd place run. he finished 2 seconds behind the leaders saying that the track was loose so he will likely go down in shock oil again.
Dakotah Phend (4th): Phend was the top driver from the "B" heat. He said his improvement was owed to pretty signicficant changes all around. He made a couple of bobbles that he wants to clean up as well as making some more small changes.
Marco Baruffolo (5th): Baruffolo is running a new Hot Race truggy tire, but so far it is nameless. He said he had a few mistakes he would like to clean up and they might try a harder compound tire, but overall it was a good run.
Tanner Stees (6th): Stees had little more to say this round. He had trouble with the triple at least twice doing a full front flip. He plans to mount a new set of tires. He also used a yellow towel to cover his face and claimed that made all the difference comfort wise.
Pro Ebuggy:
David Ronnefalk (1st): David was very surprised to have taken the TQ after a rough start. He hit some upside down cars, but had good patience otherwise and will leave the car the same for R3.
Jared Tebo (2nd): Tebo would lead early but ultimately finish 2 seconds behind.
Tanner Denney (3rd): Tanner made extensive changes after round one including shock oil, spring, and sway bar. He had to get marshaled once but otherwise it was a good run. He thought he might go lighter on shock oil once more.
Ryan Maifield (4th): Maifield was really surprised he was able to salvage a forth, the car was good but Maifield was frustrated trying to see the bumps around the track and lacking comfort not having a warmup. He had no plans to make any changes for R3.
Tanner Stees (5th):Stees made similar statements to his truck runs. His hands are extremely cold still but he plans to go lighter in shock oil and make the best of it.
Joe Bornhorst (6th): Bornhorst was quoted saying "the holes will jump out and bite you like a spider monkey," but more seriously explained that the track was slick and taking a pretty extreme amount of concentration.
