Race report from Cruizin' With RC's:

Cruizin' with RC's in Waldwick, NJ hosted their annual Heads Up Challenge race last Sunday and it was a heater! With the temperatures in the NY/NJ area swelling to 95+ degrees things were certainly hot. Grip was super high as always on the plush turf surface. The race was set up similar to Reedy Race format with racers participating in 4 randomly sorted, heads up style races. With each race being run like a main, the action was non stop.
The 17.5 buggy class had 4 heats and was clearly the largest class of the day. Overall there were entrants in 8 classes, spread over 14 heats. The Cruizin' team kept the BBQ going, blasting out burgers and dogs all afternoon. And Race Director Steve Charles managed to keep the program running smooth all day, while also running 4 classes (winning 2 of them)!
Action was intense in the previously mentioned 17.5 buggy class, as well as Pro Mod Buggy and Mod Wheeler with some extremely close battles. When all the tie breakers were sorted out the results looked like this:
2wd Buggy- 17.5
2wd Buggy- Pro-Mod
2wd Buggy- Open-Mod
4wd Buggy- 13.5 Super Stock
4wd Buggy- Mod
2wd Racing Truck- Mod
2wd Shortcourse- Mod
2wd Buggy- 40+
