Edianto Ong wins at UCP GP Buggy Series

Race Report from IRCC – Indonesian R/C Car Community:

UCP (Urban Community Park) GP Buggy Series 2 – 2018

In commemoration of Indonesian Independence Day, IRCC with Urban Community Park organize UCP GP Buggy Series 2 aka Indonesia Independence Race.  Like in the first Series, the race was attended with racers from all over Indonesia from 3 Main Islands, Sumatra, Java, and Kalimantan/Borneo.  It was a very successful event where the Track Owner putting a new multile jumps obstacle makes the race more exiciting.

The format of the race is run with 4 Qualiying Rounds and Bump up Finals.  Stanley Wangsanegara 2 TQs out of 4 Rounds but young and talented Kenji Liono snatch the overall TQ position due to His consistent drive on the Qualifying Runs.  The start of the Final was a bit rough with some tangles on the first corner and Kenji After fall into the ditch on the far right corner table top.  Which gave the leading position to Stanley.  And at about 10 minutes mark, Stanley makes His first mistake that makes Yoyo took the Lead.  Unfornately, Stanley got His Front Left Tire unglued and had to change the tire that made Him drop to 5th position.  Then, Choping, which start 3rd on the grid got into the Front battle until His engine Flamed out towards the end of the race.  While, the Final seems to be wrapped up by Yoyo taking the win, another dark horse, Edianto sneaking from nowhere and challenge for the win.  At the Final Flag, Mr. Edianto “Banana” Ong took the respectable win, with Yoyo comes second, Stanley Wangsanegara manage to get back to third, Kenji Liono 4th, and Sadikin Sutrisno, one of the best Indonesian Nitro On-Road Driver took the final 5th podium.
