Extra credit for Dakotah Phend

Dakotah Phend isn't your average High School student. He isn't scheming up a plan to try and sneak out of class for an afternoon of shenanigans like a lot of other high schoolers may be. He is getting out of class legitimately- to travel around the world as a professional R/C racer.

But that traveling hasn't come without some extra work to make up for his time absent from school. Dakotah's mom Nancy sent us a picture of a project he was asked to do by his school principal- a display showcasing what he does when he is away.

We like to imagine Dakotah's future being full of R/C racing success for many, many years to come. However, as evidenced by the picture, Dakotah could also have a future as a window dresser at a department store!

All kidding aside, the showcase Dakotah put together is pretty impressive to us R/C folks when you think about it...he has really accomplished a lot for being so young. But just imagine what others who don't know anything about R/C racing think when they see the showcase with magazine ads that have their classmate's face in them? That must be a cool thing to brag about at the lunch table.
