Figueiredo Signs With ProTek RC

AMain Hobbies is pleased to announce the signing of João Figueiredo to a contract as a member of its ProTek RC Pro Race Team. ProTek RC is now sold in Europe via HOECO Distribution, and Figueiredo joins the team as the brand’s first European professional driver for both 1/8 scale and 1/10 scale RC racing. The 28-year-old Figueiredo will run ProTek RC servos, batteries, tools, and accessories in his race program.

Figueiredo, who hails from Barcelos, Braga, Portugal, has been RC racing professionally for the past 10 years and has won 12 Portuguese national off-road titles (8 in 1/8 and 4 in 1/10). This past fall, Figueiredo was an A Main Finalist at the 2024 IFMAR 1/8 World Championships in Spain, finishing eighth overall. He also has qualified for the European 1/8 Off-Road Championships A Main each of the past six event years.

Figueiredo is a member of the renowned Tekno RC racing program. He also is a long-time team driver for Hot Race tires.
