For this week's Flashback Friday we travel back in time to the 1989 release of the Kyosho Turbo Burns 1/8 Nitro Buggy! The Turbo Burns was released as an upgraded version of the original Kyosho Burns buggy. The Turbo Burns featured a basic aluminum chassis, front and rear shock towers, and top plate design. The "selling points" of the buggy included the universal jointed swing shafts, double wishbones, "super capacity" shocks, and ball bearings throughout. There are MANY differences in this 1989 competiton buggy compared to today's models, however, a few of the most noticeable visual differences include the extra large front bumper, rear mounted fuel tank, servo mounting configuration, carburetor direction, small bore shocks, and of course wheels, tires, wing, body style, etc.
