Everybody knows that Friday is meant for reminiscing old times. Each week we take you back in time as we flashback to some of R/C racing's greatest moments, products, drivers, and more!

For this week's Flashback Friday we travel back to the first ever R/C race at Steel City R/C Speedway, host of this week's IFMAR World Championship, for the 2018 PROTOform Nitro Grand Prix.

"The highly-anticipated first race at the brand-new Steel City R/C Speedway went down in April 2018, and it did not disappoint! The inaugural PROTOform Nitro Grand Prix attracted nearly 150 entries in 6 classes from all-across the United States, including factory drivers JJ Wang, Joaquin De Soto Jr.

Built on the grounds of Auto Club Speedway, home of NASCAR, Indycar, drag racing, autocross and karting tracks, the racing atmosphere at the new facility is second-to-none.
