Future Stars of RC is a regular column on LiveRC where aspiring RC journalist Tyler Hooks has a conversation with fellow up-and-coming racers across the country, covering youth-friendly topics such as school subjects, watching TV, throwing huge whips and, of course, girls.
The Texas area has fostered a group of quick younger racers, led by Jake Dellinger, that travel the state and region weekly battling it out for bragging rights until the next event. Brandon Rose is one of the newest hot shots battling for the win at every event. This interview comes shortly after his big win at the Icebreaker over Adam Drake.

Age: 14

TH: When did you first begin racing?
BR: I began racing when I was 9 years old.
TH: What is your biggest racing accomplishment?
BR: My biggest racing accomplished is any time I have helped people and they succeeded.
TH: What is your worst racing failure?
BR: Putting my diffs in backwards lol.
TH: Where do you attend school, and what is your goal for a future occupation?
BR: I attend Kingwood Middle School and want to be a mechanical engineer.
TH: Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?
BR: No I don't, but I am trying to find a girlfriend lol!
TH: What is your favorite class for school and racing?
BR: My favorite class in school in Science, and my favorite class in racing is Nitro buggy.
TH: What do you think of the old saying “girls just get in the way of racing?
BR: It’s true sometimes, but no girl will get in the way of my racing.
TH: What is your real dream car?
BR: A Lamborghini Huracan.
TH: Huge whips, driving absolutely flat out or more calculated driving, smoother on the throttle?
BR: I would say I don't drive that calculated; I drive pretty punched.
TH: Action Sports or Conventional sports, what do you follow in your free time?
BR: I love to watch Supercross and Street Outlaws.
TH: This interview comes right after your impressive win at the 2018 Icebreaker, how was the event for you?
BR: It went awesome, I got my first big win beating some factory drivers and my serpent cars were awesome.
TH: Who did you look up to when you were an even younger racer, or who has been the biggest help to you as a driver?
BR: I have always looked up to my mentor and best friend Jeremy Cupps. He has helped me so much, and I appreciate everything he does.
TH: What is the biggest piece of advice you would give to a new up and coming racer?
BR: Just to have fun and not worry about being really fast or sponsored right away, go to the track and just practice!
