Hot young talent can be hard to find these days, especially in the UK, but Team Associated and CML Racing are delighted to announce the newest member of the formidable racing team.
19 year old Greg Williams is one of very few drivers to join the prestigious 1:10 team. Endorsed and selected by none other than Neil Cragg, Tom Yardy and the recently retired Paul Bradby.
Tom Yardy says, "You can't deny Greg ability and he has shown everybody that he can perform. More importantly he can perform on different tracks around the country. The ability to travel and be competitive gives him an edge you don't see much these days. Greg isn't a club or track specialist- he's a all rounder that can change and adapt. Thats important when it comes to bigger events that are out of your comfort zone. I look forward to working with Greg and seeing him develop."
Greg joins the team with a long list of wins already under his belt at his tender young age. Already a multiple BRCA Junior National Champion in under 13's and under 16's with victories 6 years on the bounce in this class. Stats like that haven't been seen since Craig Drescher and Neil Cragg joined the team. In the past year, Greg is one of few drivers to become a Multiple BRCA National A finalist.
Neil Cragg states, "I spotted Greg a few years back and have watched him develop. He reminds me of myself in many ways and I believe he will be a formidable force in the future. Having a nice family to back him up makes him stand out in my opinion and I'm very much into family values, respect and commitment. Greg has all these attributes. Welcome aboard Greg- enjoy the ride."
The polite and unasumming nature of Greg and his family are a very welcome addition to the team and all the current team drivers are very enthusiastic to help and nurture Greg's talent over the coming years. Team Associated and CML Racing are delighted to welcome Greg and his family to the team and look forward to working with the North Easterner in the coming years.
Jason Varley concludes "Greg will be a refreshing and welcome addition to the team. We need young blood for the future. We work hard with the juniors in all the classes and its nice to finally pick up such a young, friendly and talented driver. We have some very exciting product releases in the pipeline and we need the cool kids to promote these. Greg will be using the full line up of Team Associated Off road electric cars along with a full compliment of Reedy, Pro-Line, Savox and Etronix equipment. I'd like to personally welcome Greg and his family to the team."
