Awesome Starting Power

There is nothing worse than having your starter box grind to a halt, trying to turn a big block engine's flywheel.

Designed with more power than most other starter boxes, the H5S On-road and Off-road boxes use the incredibly powerful, high-torque 775 size motors that can handle any size RC vehicle from 1/8 scale buggy to touring car.

Coupled with the high torsion single belt gear system, the H5S Ultimate Starter Boxes offer unrivaled torque, cranking power and the durability required for the demanding sport of RC racing. The engineers at H.A.R.D. paid special attention to the physics of gear reduction for maximum output.

Durable and Versatile

Every component from the ground up is designed to give you the most durable performance possible in a starter box. From the high tensile strength rubber compound used in the starting wheel, lasting 5 times longer than previous wheels, to the newly designed steel construction and hard coated skid-resistant finish, this box has guts!

The solid hinged lid with attractive green trim is more than just a starting surface. The lid doubles as a convenient handle, ergonomically designed for comfort and easy transport.
Multi-positional chassis brackets can be adjusted to seat your vehicle in the perfect position for starting every time.
The glow-igniter storage hole is the best invention since the cup holder. Never misplace that elusive glow-igniter again!
Four solid rubber feet keep the H5S firmly planted in place while starting your vehicle
Convenient cut-outs in the H5S lid allow the starting wheel assembly to be rotated 90 degrees to conform to any flywheel configuration.
Venting slots on each side keep the motor in the H5S cool in the heat of racing

Smart Power Options

A state-of-the-art starter box needs a universal power configuration. Both the H5S Off-road and On-road starter boxes offer different battery setups to suit your needs. The dual purpose battery holders provide a secure compartment for both 7.2v battery packs as well as 12v power cells

Dual 7.2v Battery Setup Quick change access is provided for your battery packs. Simply snap each pack into the specially designed holder underneath the lid and connect each pack to the connectors included.

12v Power Cells A secure bracket is provided to firmly install your 12v power cell if desired.

External Battery Terminals If an external battery is desired such as a portable 12v auto battery, a positive and negative terminal is built-in and wired for immediate use on the rear of the unit.
