Race Report from Schumacher Racing:
www.racing-cars.com
This past weekend was the sixth round of the Worksop Series, there was once again a great entry of 14 heats of drivers, this was across the 3 classes of 2wd, 4wd and a vintage buggy class.
As always it was Round by round qualifying as the racing format, with the best 2 results from 4 rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position.
Qualifying in 2wd was dominated by Craig Collinson who took TQ in 3 out of 4 rounds, so therefore he would line up on pole.
In 4wd it was Steven Pierce who was on form taking 3 out of the 4 rounds of qualifying, so he would line up on pole.
In the Vintage class it was Mitch Fiddling who would try his hand at using his Dads car in a couple of rounds of qualifying and would take pole, there were a couple of drivers that had a stand in driver throughout the day, so we allowed this as it was taken in great fun by all drivers.

Another brilliant event and great close racing was enjoyed by all.
A special mention has to go to Schumacher's young Mitchell Fiddling, based on results at the weekend it means he has already wrapped up the overall 2wd championship with 1 round still remaining. Some superb results throughout the series and thouroughly well deserved drives by Mitchell has given him this fantastic result - Well done!
Both the 4wd and Vintage championships are still all to play for between several drivers.
As always a massive thank you to the Worksop team for all of their hard work. The track team, referees, commentators and all involved.
The final round of this brilliant Series is on Sunday 18th March, there are very few spaces remaining in all classes, so please book in very soon.
We hope to see you there.
