Help Save River City Raceway From Arson Damage

On November 18th, 2023 River City Raceway was the unfortunate victim of arson. Our storage container along with all the tools, supplies & maintenance equipment stored inside are a total loss. Much to our dismay, our property insurance only covers the driver’s stand which wasn’t harmed. So unfortunately an insurance claim isn’t an option. Please consider donating so we can reopen the track in the spring. The survival of our track and race program depends on donations from people like you! Our goal is $5,000 to get us back up an running. Anything you can give is greatly appreciated!!! We are a NOT-FOR-PROFIT R/C club registered with the State of Illinois with a lease agreement allowing the use of Peoria Park District land. Our board of directors are unpaid volunteers voted on by club members. Donations, membership dues and event fees help us pay for the land lease, insurance, track maintenance equipment, storage, equipment rentals, advertising, electric, water, restrooms, administrative costs, and other expenses associated with hosting events and keeping the track available to the public.
