After his departure from Team Associated announced last week, Arizona-native Tommy Hinz has announced his signing with Team XRAY and Hobbywing USA for 2018.

In a Facebook update Tommy stated, "With it officially being 2018, I am proud to announce that I have joined forces with Hobbywing North America for 2018 and beyond. I can’t wait to get these sweet electronics wired up and ripping on the track. Thanks to Ron Schuur for the opportunity to run for Hobbywing!

Also, I am very pleased to have an opportunity to run for XRAY, RC America, and Hudy for 2018 and beyond. The precision and quality of these cars are unbelievable. Thanks to Gord Tessman for the opportunity. See everyone at the track."
