The HobbyTown Hobbyplex in Omaha, Nebraska will host its annual spring race under a new name, The HobbyPlex Spring Offroad Championships.
The HobbyPlex Indoor offroad was constructed in 2011 and has since held several national level 1/10th scale events including the Jconcepts Indoor National Series Finals and the 2016 ROAR nationals.
Racers can expect a fun and family friendly atmosphere, great track layout with lots of elevation changes, and a well ran race program. In keeping with tradition from previous spring races, the HobbyPlex is once again offering a "heads up" style racing class. "Pro-4 SCT-SX" will consist of three rounds of heads up qualifying with random resorts using LiveTime's heads up qualifying format. Standard triple A-mains with single lower mains with bump ups will take place on Sunday.
The dash for cash is also back. The top four drivers of the three largest classes will be entered into a three lap dash for cash Saturday night after qualifying.
The event is limited to 145 drivers. Sign ups are up at www.rcsignup.com/events/displayEvent.cfm?ID=6118
