North German 1/8th scale front runner Lars Hoppe took convincing wins at last weekend’s North German regionals. Lars joined the 1/10th scale class for the first time with a Velox V10 "PRO" and scoring some fast runs in the two opening qualifying rounds allowed him to sit out the remaining two rounds to concentrate on 1/8th scale qualifying. At the end the Shepherd racer took the TQ spot in both classes to start the finals from the pole-position.
In the 1/10th scale final he immediately pulled away and led the main from the start to the chequered flag finishing 2 laps in front of Bernd Hasselbring and Ralf Krause.
In the 1/8th scale final Lars again showed a dominating performance by leading the field from tone to tone. Lars came in 1st one lap ahead of Merlin Depta with Christoph Loose completing the podium another 7 laps down.
