HPI drifts into the Motion Sport Compact Show

 

This year, the Motion Sport Compact Auto Show & Expo was held on May 20th, 2012 at the Long Beach Convention Center. Falken Tire secured a prime location for the HPI Marketing team to set up shop and get the public involved with RC interaction. The “Try Me” course was set up right in front of the FALKEN Tire rig, so if any one of the nearly 6,000 spectators asked, “Where is HPI Racing?” the set up was easy to find. Enthusiasts both young and old came by to see the HPI display vehicles and to even take a few lap on the “Try Me” track. The track surface was amazing! Justin Pawlak (Falken Tire Ford Mustange RTR, Current Formula Drift Points Leader) showed up ready for some RC action. Justin brought 2 complete cars to run, a body to display, and his tool case (with charger, spare wheels and tires, full set up!). Dan Guetter was out on the prowl getting photos of the event and also helping with the “Try Me” track set up. Drift master Aki Watamase was doing Drift demos, giving Justin pointers on his RC drifting, in-between keeping the “Try Me” cars running in top condition. In wrapping up a great event.
