Indy Outdoor GP to open May 26

Indy RC World of Garland, Texas has recently come to an agreement with Alliance Skate Park in Grand Prairie, Texas, to open and operate an outdoor off-road track at their facility. Grand Prairie is located in between Fort Worth and Dallas so it is a very centrally located venue for an outdoor off-road RC track in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Dubbed "Indy Outdoor GP" the first official day of prepped track practice with a timing system is Saturday, May 26 from 11am to sunset. Operation of an RC track at a skate park has taken an enormous amount of negotiation and all the work you'd expect when it comes to turning a plot of land into an outdoor RC venue. That said, there has been a huge amount of energy and interest in this track opening up so make plans to get there early. Dates and sponsors are soon to be released for a summer race series.
