Kyosho's Jared Tebo and Team Associated's Ryan Cavalieri kicked off the 2013 racing season at the CRCRC Midwest Champs held in Jefferson, Ohio. The soon to be released Handlebar tire made its debut on both Tebo's and Cavalieri's buggies in Clay Compound. They both settled in quickly and looked very comfortable on the new tires.

Qualifying ended with Tebo TQ in mod 2wd buggy and mod truck. Cavalieri held TQ in mod 4wd buggy and mod 2wd SC with some very impressive driving for his first big race on AKA rubber.

The triple A-mains wrapped up with Tebo sweeping all three of his classes! Though he had to settle for 2nd in 4wd mod buggy behind teammate Tebo, Cavalieri was able to take the victory in mod 2wd SC by winning the first two mains.

Dylan Gerard put in a stellar performance in electric 8th scale. He was able to TQ and walk away with the win after a 10-minute long A-main on Clay Compound Wishbones.
