One of the best upgrades you can make to the TLR 22 line of vehicles is to convert the front axle to a more user friendly design. A critical point of the conversion revolves around the front axle and surrounding geometry, the crew at JConcepts has provided a great alternative. JConcepts has conveniently built the front axle and hex into a single piece allowing the use of a traditional 4mm lock-nut instead of the stock screw type design. A low-profile, aluminum 4mm locknut has been included which features an inner serrated surface which grips the wheel when tightened for locking security. This design can easily be installed on the 22 buggy line of vehicles including the newly released TLR 22 2.0.
Assembly:
Assembly is built from the outside in. Slide the new axle into the bearings within the hub assembly and secure on the inside with the 3mm button head screw (apply a light amount of blue thread lock) used from the stock axle build. Repeat build for the other side of the vehicle, install wheel and tire on to the vehicle and secure with the included low-profile, aluminum 4mm locknut.
Features:- JConcepts design and function
- High-grade steel material
- Design eliminates frustrating screws
- Includes low-profile, aluminum 4mm serrated locknuts
