Jorn Neumann takes two at the 2013 German 1:10 4wd Nationals

 

The 2013 4wd Modified Buggy & 4x4 Modified Short Course German Nationals were held this past weekend at MAC Inzell Raceway in Inzell, Germany. Jorn would be making his Team Orion debut at this event after signing with Team Orion just last week.

Going into the weekend, the threat of heavy rain was evident. Saturday looked promising earlier in the day with flash flooding expected that afternoon and into Sunday. The race event organizers made the right decision to try and run the main events right after qualifying was finished on Saturday. Just as expected, only the 1st round of A-Mains were able to be completed before the rain arrived in full force. Racing would then be called for Saturday. After all night of being pounded by rain, Sunday was cancelled.

The decision was made that the racers would finish overall where they had qualified. Team Orion Factory Driver Jorn Neumann went on to TQ all 4 rounds of qualifying in both the 4wd Modified Buggy and 4x4 Modified Short Course classes!

Jorn also went on to Win A-Main's #1 in both classes uncontested before the rain!

By Jorn taking the overall TQ in both classes and also Winning A-Main #1 in both, it was clear he would add 2 more German National Championships to his already impressive resume!
