Team Serpent's newest factory driver, Kay Koops, debuts his new ride in winning fashion at the Appingendam Buggycup in Holland. Despite the changing weather and a combination of wet and dry racing surfaces, Koops was able to take the TQ spot in qualifying. In the semi-final, Koops made several small mistakes allowing the rest of the field to close the gap, but after battling back and forth for some time it would be the Serpent Cobra out front crossing the finish line.
As the final got under way the rain started once again. Only a few corners into the final, Kay Koops took the lead and never looked back.
