Kobbevik takes two at Norwegian Nationals R2

SAS Club, at RACELAND, Midgard, close to Sandefjord hosted the 4th round of Norwegian Nationals last weekend! This is the land of the Vikings, so a rough Dirt Race was on the list to be done! This club is one off the up and coming Clubs in Norway, and they have big plans for 2019.They take RC a step forward and are taking grips on making everything a little more professional. The weather forecast for this race was not looking to good, but luckily, that weather passed couple off hundreds meter down the road!

In 4wd it was Daniel who set the pace with his EZ/Hobbywing powered XB4. Daniel had full control of the race. But tight fight between the Dohler brothers again, and this time it was Oystein that was going to start as Nr. 2 on the grid after qualies were done and Thorbjorn Nr. 3. 

In the finals Daniel drove his own race. Oystein pretty much controlled the second place well and Thorbjorn struggled a bit and came into some situations that made it difficult for him and after all finals was done it was 3 guys on the same points for 3 place on podium, that was XRAY´s Thorbjorn, Danny Kwiatkowski and Mathias Fink. They all had 7 points, but Danny took the longest Straw with his second and fifth place finish. This is also his home track, so the people from the club was very satisfied with his performance!

3. Danny Kwiatkowski - Kyosho

In 2wd, XRAY driver Daniel Kobbevik was over 2.2 sec faster on best lap and the only one that put in 9 laps in the qualifier rounds. The track was bumpy, slippery and challenging, so it was a great challenge for all drivers. The wind made also some off the jumps pretty difficult to handle.  After qualification was done, Daniel had TQ´ed all rounds with his EZ/Hobbywing powered XRAY XB2. Second place was Thorbjorn Dohler with his XRAY XB2 and Oystein Dohler with his Team Associated.

In the finals it was pretty much the same scenario as in qualification, Daniel pulled away and the fight was about second and third place. Oystein and Thorbjorn fighted well, in the end after 3 finals, Daniel won all three A-mains, Thorbjorn was second and Oystein was third.
