Race report from Aaron Kothman, via Facebook:
What a great weekend traveling to and racing at the Annual BBQ Blast at RC Madness in Enfield Connecticut. Saturday was a setup and practice day. Only making a few small changes to my TLR 8ight buggy's, we were comfortable and ready for qualifying on Sunday. Saturday night was great to hang out trackside with family & friends. Sunday morning the parking lot and pits filled quickly with racers from all over, definitely a full house. The layout was very cool, moderately technical, with faster lines if you could hit your marks. My cars were strong through qualifying rolling on X1 & X4 Fugitives and I would end up sitting TQ in E-Buggy out of 51 cars and 2nd in Nitro Buggy out 47 cars. E-Buggy up first it would be a race with Justin Jelley. After ending up off the track on lap 2 from a weird kick on the far side triple I would find myself in second. I would regain the lead on lap 7 and hold on the take the win! Great race Justin, always a blast! Also congrats to TLR Teammate Peter Bartlett for rounding out the Podium!
Up next was Nitro Buggy. Right from the tone Alex Kosciuszek and I would break away and for several minutes I would hang tight until I made a couple mistakes and started to lose my car in the dust (see pic). I would finish a very strong 2nd as Alex went on to take the win, Awesome job Alex!
Having #TLRacing #TeamLosiRacing #HorizonHobby #ProLine #SpektrumRC #momanddad behind me is a blessing and makes all of this possible! Christopher Marcy and crew for an amazing facility, track, and event. And I can't forget #Snapple for the best drink to race with!
