XRAY Race Report:
Speed Monkey R/C in Irving, Texas hosted their Grand Opening race this past weekend with an impressive turnout of 170+ entries. The new facility brought about some of Texas best drivers to try out the new track.
3 Rounds of qualifying with "rocket round" scoring had the TQ spot bouncing back and forth between XRAY's Kurt Kellum, Josh Glancy, and Agama's Jason Branham. After the final round it would be Jason Branham starting out front for the main, however, the XB9 of Kurt Kellum would work his way to the front and begin stretching out his lead in the a-main final. Kellum began encountering electrical problems with only minutes to go, but was able to gap the field far enough that, despite not finishing the final lap, he would take home the first every 1/8 Pro Buggy A Main at Speed Monkey R/C!
