Top-driver Kay Koops from the Netherlands joins team Serpent Cobra offroad team.
The 1/6th offroad European Champion is a great talent, and changed to 1/8 offroad only last year, ready for a new challenge. After trying some cars in past races, he now moved to Serpent Cobra Buggy, after an intensive test-session.
Kay Koops runs in the Buggy-Cup in the Netherlands, and plans to attend the Neo and the 2013 EC.
Serpent Interview with Kay Koops:
Q: When did you start rc racing and with which car?
A: I was 8 years old , it was a Tamiya 1:10 Offroad car.
Q: Where is your local track located?
A: It’s located in Germany , Haren.
Q: What has been your biggest national and international result so far?
A: My Biggest win was the European Championships LSOR 2011 in Croatia
Q: Why did you move to 1/8 scale offroad ?
A: Because it’s much nicer to drive , and I have more fun with the 1:8 car.
Q: When and where did you first try the Serpent Cobra, and what was the result?
A: It was 1 Juni , In Purmerend on the MVW track.
Q; What is your age and occupation?
A: I’m 18 years old , and I’m studying car technics.
Q: What is your favorite full scale racing category and driver?
A: My favorite full scale racing is Rally , and my favorite driver is Sebastien Loeb.
Q: !ho is your mechnanic , or do you work on your cars normally?
A: My mechanics are my Father and our good friend Eric Bisschop, I’m working on the car at home.
Q: Which races do you you plan for 2012?
A: My plans are for this year are the Buggycup, and much practice .
Q: When and where will be your first race with Cobra buggy?
A: My first race will be at the Buggycup in Appingedam.
