After being delayed by rain for two weeks, Lawton RC Raceway played host to the 5th Annual Nightmare on Dirt Presented by The Graphic Shop on November 9, 2019, with 94 entries comprised of some of the best racers in the region, racing on the loose dirt oval. The racers were greeted with great weather for early November, and this made for some great racing throughout the afternoon and evening. In addition, there were some great door prize giveaways courtesy of Dave Enstrom at DE Racing Products and Silky Johnson of SJD R/C And at the end of the event, some racers got to take home some great looking plaques courtesy of Craig Boots and The Graphic Shop.
Traditionally, the Nightmare on Dirt Presented by The Graphic Shop has signified the end of big event outdoor racing action in Oklahoma for the season. Hosted in late October, it is seen to be the last weekend where race tracks are not fighting the weather in this region. This year, it also marked the end of the first season for The Oval @Lawton RC Raceway with promoter and head of oval track operations, Tyler Johnson at the helm.
