Race Report by Kerry Lemos:

It was a great day racing for Xray, RC America  and Proline at AMain’s 2018 Tekin Labor Day Shootout, where I ran two classes:  open truggy and open buggy.

In open buggy, I won all three rounds of qualifying and TQ’d the open buggy class. I started 1st on the grid in the A-main lap. Dante, in second was pushing hard, so I let him by early on and waited for my opportunity. We had some great racing out there and, eventually, I took the lead back and continued to pull away from the pack, thanks to the smooth handling car and very few mistakes. The main was 20 minutes, and by making only one fuel stop, I was able to get a huge lead. My pit crew was amazing as usual. When I had a 16-second lead, Kevin Palmer brought me in for a quick splash of fuel, that took me and my Xray XB8 running Proline HoleShot X3’s in for the win.

My car ran like it was on rails, hooking up all day!!
