Last week, we had a chance to speak with nVision (right before they announced the signing of US driver Matt Castellano).
We asked about all the things that we (and everyone else) want to know about the mysterious company, and got some helpful answers! While they aren't quite ready to let the cat entirely out of the bag, they were gracious enough to give us plenty of insight as to what it is they will be offering.
LiveRC: In the last two months, we have seen the bright red banners of nVision on a few websites and all over the worlds track in Thailand. What can you tell us about the start-up of a new company such as nVision?
nVision: In fact, the banners in Thailand or on the websites are only the top of the whole project. For about one year already we have been preparing new products with revolutionary technology. We were speaking with manufacturers, drivers and were also working on an all-new sales concept. nVision is new from the ground up: new technology meets new marketing and sales approaches – this is nVision!
We have seen recently that nVision has signed two highly sought after drivers who's terms recently ended with their previous engine sponsor. This leads us to believe that nVision is going to be making engines, among possibly other things. Can you confirm that?
Right now I can confirm that nVision is a company specialized in nitro products.
Both drivers that you have signed are based in Europe. Can we expect to see more global talent being signed, or will you be targeting mainly the European market?
In the meantime we also announced that Dani Vega joined the team – and you can expect drivers from other continents to follow. We keep everyone updated on nvisionweb.net
Through what channels will nVision products be available? (distributors, dealers, direct, etc)
nVision products will be available through all channels you mentioned.
Will nVision products be targeted mostly for the racing market, or the entry-level market?
nVision targets racers all over the world and will supply them with the latest technology available in R/C today.
When and where can we expect to find more information about nVision?
We will inform about the next three drivers announcements on nvisionweb.com. You can also expect more nVision news at the toy fair in Nurnberg.
Is there anything else you can add to help shed some light into what we will see from nVision in the near future?
Right now I can only say that nVision is not only “another brand”, but it is an all-new concept with major R/C companies and manufacturers involved. Racers can expect great products with lots of power, made with a lot of dedication. Thousands already subscribed for the newsletter on nvisionweb.net to get informed when the company starts selling. We suggest to everyone to subscribe – a special welcome gift will be given to everyone on the list, don’t miss it!
