LRC: Don't miss a lap of the Reedy Race! [VIDEO]

The Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions returns to OCRC Raceway this weekend, where the fastest electric off-road racers on the planet will square off in 12 rounds of heads-up racing - six with 2WD buggies, and six with 4WD buggies - to determine an overall winner. Two of those vying for the prestigious title will be last year’s Open-class victors, Joona Haatanen and Alex Kosciuszek, while 100 up-and-coming racers from around the world will compete in the Open 2WD and 4WD undercards.

You’ll be able to watch every lap of the 2017 Reedy Race on LiveRC, with live scoring, video replays and coverage throughout the weekend. The broadcast will begin with a fixed camera view for Wednesday’s practice and moving cameras starting Thursday for select practice heats and all races.

Schedule:

Wednesday, January 18 - 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Open: OCRC practice for any non-invitational drivers

Thursday, January 19 - Starting at 9:00 AM
Open: One round of free practice and two rounds of controlled practice to seed qualifiers)
Invitational: Three rounds of free practice each for 2WD and 4WD

Friday, January 20 - Starting at 9:00 AM
Open: Three rounds of IFMAR qualifying, five-minute heats
Invitational: Four rounds of 4WD, five-minute heats

Saturday, January 21 - Starting at 9:00 AM
Open: One round of IFMAR qualifying, five-minute heats. Lower main events with two bump-ups, ten minutes each
Invitational: Two rounds of 4WD, two rounds of 2WD, five minute heats

Sunday, January 22 - Starting at 9:00 AM
Open: Remaining main events, ten minutes each. Two bump-ups. Double A-Main events
Invitational: Four rounds of 2WD, five minute heats

Bonus Lap members will get to watch the event in High Definition with no commercial interruptions throughout the weekend. Free viewers will be able to catch the race in Standard Definition and, for the first time, only see video commercials between races - rather than every two minutes as in years past.
