Press release from LRP:

Double triumph for LRP at the BRCA EP Offroad Nationals 2014. Darren Bloomfield took the 2WD title at the second last round, while Neil Cragg had taken the 4WD trophy already in round four out of six.

The fifth and second last round of the BRCA EP Buggy Nationals was held in Stotfold. Grip level on the artificial turf track was very high, resulting in really fast times in the 2WD qualification. Darren Bloomfield was still a bit faster than his competitors. He pushed his LRP powered and Sanwa controlled Schumacher car to the TQ Position.

The situation in the final proved to be completely different. Rain had worsened the track conditions. Lap times were around three seconds slower than in qualification. Darren came out on top of a chaotic first A-main, but he had to fight hard against Lee Martin until he crossed the finish line. The second A-main saw a spectacular head-to-head fight between Darren and Simon Moss. A small mistake of Simon was decisive in the end and enabled Darren to win. By winning A1 and A2, Darren Bloomfield secured the victory in Stotfold and also the overall title in this year’s series. Simon Moss finished overall second ahead of Lee Martin.

Darren’s blue winning equipment:
• LRP Flow WorksTeam brushless speed control - #80970
• LRP Vector X20 7.5T motor - #50664
• LRP LiPo Competition Car Line 4700 Short-SubC battery - #430214
• LRP Quadra Competition V.1 charger - #41420
• Sanwa Exzes-Z stick radio set - #101A31272A

In the 4WD competition, the drivers could see a dominant Neil Cragg. The British top driver, powering his Associated car with the LRP Flow WorksTeam speedo, could go easy. He had already locked the overall 4WD title in round four in Eden Park. This success was his impressing 19th BRCA National Championship.

Nevertheless, Neil kept concentrated. He took the TQ spot ahead of Lee Martin and Tom Cockerill. With an error-free run, Neil was also able to win the first A-main. In A2, Neil made a mistake, giving Lee the possibility to overtake him and drive to victory. So, the race had to be decided in the last final. And it was Neil Cragg who took the overall win by driving to a secure start-to-finish victory ahead of Lloyd Storey. The overall ranking saw Neil ahead of Lee Martin in second and Lloyd Storey in third.

Neil relied on the following LRP product to win his 19th title:
• LRP Flow WorksTeam brushless speed control - #80970

Great season, Darren and Neil.
Congratulations to your early titles in 2WD and 4WD!
