DE Racing Race Report:
Sanford and Son RC headed out to CVRC Raceway in Chula Vista, CA on July 20th for Round 1 of the TLR Off Road Grand Prix Series. Heavy competition for this event would include Barry Baker from A Main Hobbies, TLR’s Don Vinkemulder, Chad Panek from Tekno RC, Kyosho teammate Brandon Aymar, and a number of very fast local racers.
A fresh set of AKA soft Impacts glued up to DE Racing Borrego wheels Lucas would go on to have a mistake-free run to lock down the Tq in 1/8 Scale Expert Bugg.
In the 25 minute A-Main Lucas got out to a great start, losing the lead briefly only when pitting. He would regained the lead when the competition pitted, holding it for the entire race. Lucas was pressed very hard the entire race by X-Ray driver Mason Elliot. Lucas would hold strong maintaining a six second lead through the remainder of the race bringing home the win.
Lucas Sanford also managed to take down the win in the 1/8 Expert Truggy division.
