Martin Bayer and Martin Hudy put the XB4 and T4 on top at the XRAY Challenge Morava

 

The third round of Xray Challenge Morava was held on Saturday December 15th. The race was attended by 120 racers in 4 main categories, stock start, pro stock, modified and 4WD buggy.

The race started on morning with free practice, continued with 3 rounds of qualifiers from which 2 were counted and 3 final. The race was attended by almost all top Czech and Slovak drivers. The track layout was mixture of fast corners and 2 chicanes. Thanks to open layout the differences among drivers were not big which made this race more close and catchy.
 

 

In modified class, Martin Hudy set the TQ by winning first two qualifiers closely followed by Marek Cerny, ETS Gran Canaria winner. The third place went to Jiri Vysin.

In the 4WD buggy category, it was one man show race of Martin Bayer who TQ`ed in front of Tomas Kubica and Juraj Hudy. It was the first race in which XB4 was driven also by other drivers than the team. In total there were 6 XB4 cars in top 10 which is really good start for XB4.

The modified finals were really interesting to watch. First final was won by Martin. In the second final Martin, in front of Marek and Kuba Simurda, made a small mistake in the third lap and droped back to 4th place. At that time Marek was leading with 3seconds lead over Martin but after some pressure Martin was able to catch super fast Marek and passed him in the chicane in the last lap. In the 4wd buggy it was again Martin Bayer who dominated the finals by winning two finals with more than 1 lap ahead. During the day Martin as usually was walking around the pits giving the set up advices and was helping to adjust Xray cars.
