XRAY Race Report:
Race report by Martin Bayer

This year I'm going to participate in the German Championship with my XB9.

The first qualification race took place last weekend at the Euro 2011 track in Sand am Main.

As always the club did a great job preparing the track and it was in perfect shape. Over 70 drivers attended in the Expert Class - most of them driving the new XRAY XB9. In the Hobby Class half of the field were XB9 cars.

It was great to see how good the XB9 was on this very high traction track. During the practice track was little dusty but quickly became gripy. I used my basic set-up for first qualification round and I miss TQ by 0,2 second. For second qualification. I made a change on diff set-up resulting in easier driving and TQ-ing the second round. For third round i changed from 8 hole pistons to 6 holes. In last qualification round my car was very good, so I decided to stick with this set-up for the finals.

Semifinal I won very easy with one lap more than other drivers.

In finals I started from pole and quickly built a lead I held til the end of the race. Car felt realy good and was very stable during final.

Final results
1. Martin Bayer XB9
2. Jiri Mára XB9
3. Hubert Honigl

So all together a great result for the team and the XB9. I´m really looking foreward to the next round at LA speedway next weekend.
