After a 2 hr rain delay the track really was as perfect as can be and the mains showed it. Bump man Mike Barr comes from 7th to take the win followed by #2 qualifier Tony Beccerra. Sam McNeal moves up to third while TQ Shane Schmidt has to settle for 4th. Shaggy battled from 8th to finish 5th With Jessy Becerra right on his back bumper in 6th. Tricky Rick Bell takes 7th and Shawn Hobbs has some trouble and has to drop out at the 2:50 mark for eighth.

Eleven open wheeled aces signed in for the action and wow was it fun both to watch and race. Chad Butler takes the first bump spot by winning the B main with Dave Merry taking second. Mike archer takes 3rd with Steve Davis in fourth and yours truly Jim Harden taking 5th. Some body loan me some driving skills or pipe avoiding magic please.
In the A main TQ Jay Landolt obliterates the old track record of 42 laps with a 45 lap run. Phil Beardshear moves up from 3rd to take second while Chad Butler is the big mover in this race as he comes from 7th to take the final podium spot in 3rd. Jason "Tito" Jackson feels his pain and has to stop at the 2:43 mark to take 8th.

STOCK SLASH/Novice
The first local option class to hit the track had 3 youngins and one young at heart racer. Arlyn Simon TQ's and wins with his zero maintenance stock slash. Second was 5yr old Evan Butler racing his latemodel. Next up was young Dalton Hobbs in the Fastlane stock slash loaner taking 3rd with young Dylan Schmidt coming in fourth.

13.5 LATEMODEL
Next up in the second local option class were the 13.5 blinky latemodels. TQ Jessy Beccera maintains his spot with Shaggy just a few seconds behind. Kyle "Rookie" Brodigan was chasing them down but has to settle for third.

PRO NITRO L8M
The fire breathers may have been few but they put on a great show with lots of action. Rick Bell takes it after 4 minutes of lead changes almost every lap with TQ Jason Fritton having to settle for his first second place in L8M action at Fastlane. Gary Barr ends up third and 2nd qualifier Mike Barr has engine troubles and fails to make the call. Better luck at the finals Mike.

The door prizes from LefthanderRC, CustomWorks, McCallister, Hyperdrive/GFRP/MSA Distributing, and AKA made the rain delay go much faster. Big Thanks to all of them for the support all year. $65 was given away in the 50/50 drawing.
