X Factory Race Report:
There were 172 entries at the 7th Annual Snow Ball Championship held last weekend at the famous R/C Excitement track in Fitchburg, Mass. Most of the top drivers in the New England area turned out to challenge another great Excitement lay-out.
“It was lights out,” said Mike Aliberti after totally dominating the 2WD Mod Short Course class with his brand new SCX – 60CF. That’s the new carbon fiber short course Conversion Kit about to be announced from X Factory. Aliberti’s slim mid-motor truck handily won both rounds of qualifying and won the A main by more than two laps. Also, Mike’s qualifying time, 17 laps in 5:09, would have put him 7th on the A main grid for Modified 2WD Buggy!
In Mod Buggy, Aliberti drove his X – 6 Squared to 3rd on the A main grid. On the first lap of the 6-min race, the second place car crashed, and Mike took off chasing the leader, who crashed and broke his car at about the 2 min mark. Mike drove off to a 3/4-lap win.
X Factory expects to have the SCX - 60CF in stock at hobby stores all over the world in just a few weeks.
