Venom Race Report:

The top drivers from the Pacific Northwest gathered in the farmlands of Pasco, WA this past weekend for the 2012 Northwest Short Course Nationals. The track is mostly clay and high bite which made for some great racing throughout the weekend.

Factory Venom drivers Mike Hudson and Jesse Munn were in attendance to try their hand at capturing the top spot on the podium. In qualifying they quickly showed that they meant business. In the 4×4 Modified SC class it was a battle for the top spot between Mike Hudson and Jesse Munn. Jesse grabbed the TQ and secured the top spot on the grid with Mike starting right behind him in 2nd for the triple A mains. In the end Munn was able to edge out Hudson by only 25 tenths of a second putting Venom drivers starting 1st and 2nd for the mains.

As the clouds moved in the rain began to fall causing the track to become very slick and forcing a 2 hour rain delay. By time the weather passed and the first of the triple A mains started it was getting dark causing moisture to come up making a ton of traction. In the 4×4 Modified SC class Hudson and Munn were able to work together and check out from the field. Mike Hudson secured the win in both A1 and A2 giving him the overall win and allowing him to not have to run A3. Jesse Munn was able to finish 3rd overall in both the 4×4 Modified SC and the 2wd Modified SC classes.
