When it comes to holidays, it seems as though there is one that all girlfriends and wives unite and feel is the most important holiday of them all....Valentine's Day. Only on this day are all eyes on you, waiting for you to deliver the ultimate gift showing your love. The fate of your love life is in your hands as you try your best to pick out the most beautiful bouquet of flowers (while staying in your budget to afford that new SC body), the biggest box of chocolates (but not too big because the back seat is full of R/C stuff), the most glamorous necklace (not too glamorous or you'll be distracted by her why trying to race), and so on.
Every year the expectations grow bigger and bigger, and the ideas of gifts grow less and less. I decided to sit down (figure of speech...I'm always sitting) and come up with the ultimate gift that not only I can give, but all of my fellow racers can give too!
Gentleman, I introduce to you the "Skip the Race" card. If you are looking for that last minute Valentine's day gift for the love of your life, there is nothing she will like more than a "Skip the Race" card. Essentially she can use this one time card which enables her to make you "skip the race" of her choice to spend the weekend with her!
Before you get too excited, like all free things in life there is the fine print. The fine print has been strategically placed at the bottom of the card and requires a scientific microscope to read...but it IS there.
The fine print reads as follows:
This card is limited to a one time use and must be used before 12/31/2013. This card is valid to use for any and all races except the following:
- Any event in which I can get a pro driver autograph.
- Any event in which there might be a blowout and someone runs their car into the wall.
- Any event in which other racers girlfriend/wife has allowed them to go.
- Any event in which I have a .001% chance or higher of winning.
- Any event in which there is a 5% chance or more of having trophy girls.
- Any event in which I will get the opportunity to exercise a turn marshall.
- Any event in which my buddies will be attending without their girlfriend/wife.
- Any event in which I can spend our money on R/C stuff.
- Any event in which there will be pizza delivery for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Any event in which I have the opportunity to stand on a raised platform of some sort and drive my R/C car.
