Back in the old days finding a date required hard work, determination, and fearless efforts of facing your crush face to face asking for a date. Thankfully for those of us who find that to be a very traumatic experience, technology has opened up a wide range of options to finding a date. Using online dating sites anyone can find a date with just a simple click! Whether you are looking for your lifelong partner, your senior partner, your religious partner, or maybe just your Tuesday partner...dating sites have it all.

With my track record of dating, I decided to check a few of these sites out and see what they have to offer. If you have never ventured onto an online dating site, let me tell you first hand, it is quite an experience. Without ever meeting or talking to a person, you can learn more about them in 5 minutes than you ever did in your last relationship. Dating sites come right out and ask in depth questions ranging from political stance, religious views, how often you workout, are you fat or not, are you addicted to drugs, do you drink, your grades in high school, do you read books, what kind of date are you looking for, and the list goes on and on and on.

All of that info is fine and dandy, but there are some questions missing that make or break a relationship in my opinion. We as an R/C community need our own dating site that asks the truly important questions...
  1. Are you a serious racer, or just looking for a good time bashing in my backyard?
  2. How often do you smoke ESC's?
  3. Is your car at minimum weight, average, or could it lose a few ounces?
  4. Would you date someone driving a different brand vehicle?
  5. On a first date would you prefer to drive onroad, offroad, or oval?
  6. How often do you watch LiveRC?
  7. How often do you try and make jokes when you crash someone?
  8. When its time to pay race fee, who should pay?
  9. How tidy is your pit space?
  10. How much attention do you require when wrenching on your car?
  11. Would you date someone with multiple cars?
  12. Do you want to have multiple cars of your own in the near future?
  13. On the first lap do you like to take things slow and learn the track, or do you move fast and attack right away?
  14. How often do you discuss setups?
  15. Do you most often prefer super soft, soft, or medium compound rubber?
I truly believe there is a special someone out there for everyone, however, if we waste online dating time discussing things like politics, religion, and education, instead of important R/C topics, how will we ever find our true love? Who knows, if we had an R/C dating site of our own, I might even pay for a subscription instead of changing sites when my free trial runs out!
