Mort Leaves Team Associated

As we are closing in on 2021 I have made the decision not to re-sign with Team Associated. It has been a great two years together, a lot has been achieved for me personally, but right now the timing calls for something else.

First of all I would like to thank Craig Drescher for giving me the opportunity and trusting me when I joined the team. He is definitely one of the best people inside the industry and I will always have high respect for him. I would also like to thank Brent Thielke as well as Kurt Wenger for providing me with the opportunities to succeed within the team and play a part in the work that goes on.

The past two years have been a big part for my career, not only because of my first National Championship, but also the understanding and experience I have gained as I got to jump to something completely new and experience the process of fully understanding a car. Obviously Covid-19 messed up a lot of things I had planned to do but it also allowed me to focus on the Finnish RC scene, finally getting to run the National Championship in full and compete for the title as well as focusing that the people over here get the most out of RC and truly get to enjoy it like I do.

I will always remember these two years as a monumental part of what would shape my career in RC going forwards and I am thankful for Team Associated for providing me this opportunity. My stay was not long but I made the best of the time I had with the team.
