Minnesota Offroad Series Race Report:
 
Round 6 was held September 22-23 at Ricks Hobby Farm, Friday was practice from 3 to sunset, a few stray showers were in the area and overnight it rained off and on and delayed the start of qualifying on Saturday. Qualifying got going at 12:30 with damp track conditions and 45 degrees with windy conditions.
 
1/8 Nitro Buggy
It was a battle between Mugen teammates Josh Ford and Tony Sletten for the coveted TQ spot, qualifying ended with Josh on top followed by Tony, Jason Klein, Dan Williams and Ryan Sobzcak rounding out the top 5. In the main, Josh Tony and Ryan pulled away in the first few minutes until Josh took control at the 5 minute mark of the 30 minute main and never relinquished the lead. Top 5 finishers in the main were, Josh Ford, Tony Sletten, Ryan Sobzcak, Tony Swenson and Scott Klein..

Nitro Truggy
Same battle for TQ between Josh Ford and Tony Sletten, with Tony getting the TQ for the class followed closely by Josh. In the main they took off and diced it out for the first 4 minutes until Josh had a tire start to come unglued, he came in at the 5 minute mark to switch it out and was back out staying on the lead lap and this was a large track with 50 second lap times being fast.. Josh charged hard for 10 minutes to try and catch back up to the leaders and had made his way back into 3rd when he shorted a jump bracking a front arm on his truggy.. Tony Sletten held on to win followed by Tony Swenson, Rob Petrick, Mike Fisk and Nate Smith to round out the top 5.

In Pro 4
It was Tony Sletten TQ ing each round for the pole with his Mugen ECO PRO4, he went on to win the main followed by Rob Petrick, McKenzie Ohm, Scott McTaggart and Any Zeigler.

1/8 E Buggy
Danny Williams TQ’d each round of qualifying with his JQ/Tekno car. In the main he had a new challenger as Josh Ford decided to enter the main. At the tone they took off and Danny got going cleanly but by the end of lap 1 Josh had made his way from the back of the pack into the lead, the top 3 diced it out for a few laps until Josh took control and lead the rest of the way to the win, he was followed by Dan Williams, Dino LaBatte, Jason White and Joe Johnson rounding out the top 5.

2wd open
Qualifying was close with Tony Sletten once again coming out top and getting TQ for the main. In the main, the top 5 changed positions with each lap as they battled it out but in the end it was Tony Sletten winning, followed by Josh Ford, Dan Williams, Rob Petrick, and Rob Logan

PRO2
In a very tightly contested battle in was David Ohm getting the TQ spot, In the main, David was out front most of the way with Rob Logan lurking right behind him the whole 10 minutes, at the end it was David holding on to win followed by Rob Logan, Tim Sletten, Tony Swenson and McKenzie Ohm rounding out the top 5.

Sportsman Electric 2wd
Joe Parent was TQ for this class, this class is for the new racers and also has many of the wives/girlfriends of the racers competing in it.. In the main, Joe was challenged by Tony Marks early and often, tony made the pass for the lead and held on for the win, he was followed by Joe Parent, Stefan Benende, Vicki Spicer, Jason McKenzie, Deb Ford, Joe Lutz, Joshus Klein, Sami Michell and Janel Petrick.
 
Sportsman Nitro
Tony Marks was the man to beat in this class, he was TQ and after starting on the pole he never looked back and won. Followed by Stefan Benende, Joe Lutz, Janel Petrick, Chris Fisk and Jason McKenzie.

1/10 2wd Nitro Stadium Truck
Yes this class is still alive and well here in Minnesota, full heat each round of the series. David Ohm was TQ for the class but not without a strong challenge from Rob Logan. David was able to also take the win in the main, followed by Rob Logan, Donnie Towle and Jason Klein..
