Round 3 of the Northwest Championship Tour was held this past weekend in Potlatch, Idaho. The 3 day event featured practice Friday, 3 rounds of qualifying Saturday and mains on Sunday – Triple A’s for electric and 30 minute nitro mains.
4wd Buggy – I qualified 2nd behind Yokomo’s Jackson Andres. On Sunday I was able to win 2 out of the 3 mains to secure to overall win for the weekend! My Tekin RSX Pro/Gen 3 5.5 combo was amazing and my Tekno EB410 seemed to get better and better as the track conditions worsened.
Nitro Buggy – I qualified 2nd in all 3 rounds as Jackson Andres took round 1 and HB’s Kyle Johnson took rounds 2 and 3. Starting 2nd on the grid I would have great battles with Kyle, Jackson and Tayler Wonders throughout the main. It was a crazy race and in the end I would finish 2nd behind Kyle Johnson. My NB48.4 was awesome!
