Team XRAY's, Nathan Reese, is an experience pro level driver who has taken quite some time away from the hobby to focus on his career. Reese surprisingly attended the 10th Anniversary of the ACT Indoor State Titles, and hit the track looking like he had never left!
Not used to running the foam tires, Reese spent extra time focusing on car setup and tuning. At the end of qualifying he was sitting 3rd on the grid for the A-mains.
In A1, Reese drove flawless and was able to sneak by early for the lead and never look back. A2 was disaster as the tone sounded and Reese's car sat "dead" on the straightaway. Electric issues left Reese at the start, but he was able to get the car running and work his way to 3rd. It all came down to A3, and Nathan Reese put the pressure on the leaders. They would soon make a mistake allowing the T3 of Reese to go by and win his first ever State Title!
