There is exciting news developing in the carpet oval racing scene. The North East Oval Racers Association (NEORA) has announced the formation of a 7 race points series that will encompass all tracks under the sanctioning body. Drivers will be heading to tracks in Plattsburg NY, Glens Falls NY, Barre VT, St Johnsbury Vt, Livermore Me, and up to the Quebec province for St Hyacynthe and St Roch. NEORA has been into spec racing for several years and the program has caught attention nationwide as the TOUR sanctioning group has restructured some of their rules to join in on the spec racing concept. The north east oval scene is likely the largest collection of drivers in North America.

The racing format will allow drivers to select which 7 events they will dictate for a pints counting run prior to any of the 20+ designated club trophy events. At the finish of the points series, awards will be awarded to the top 5 in the 3 premier NEORA classes, 21.5 Nastruck, 17.5 COT, and SK modified. Several manufacturers and distributors are on board and the championship prize pool is quickly reaching into the multiple thousand dollar range.
