Press Release From Avid RC:
www.avidrc.com

The Avid AE B7 1+1mm Hub Link Mount puts the ball stud in the same location but up 1mm. This is done because you always run a 1mm shim in this area at minimum and it is a pain to work on when removing because the shim always falls to that place where your socks go in the dryer. On top of that, if you run the kit ball stud with the kit hub link mounts without the 1mm shim, it will pinch the bearing on the molded hubs and cause the dogbone not to spin freely. It is black anodized with silver highlights on both sides and laser etched with our logo as well as the +1 to signify the ball stud is moved up 1mm, just like we do for the rear inner camber link mount that is +2mm. To clarify, we are aware that this is a +2mm when going back to the original B74 part being used and AE updated it to be 1mm higher for the B7 but since it isn't labeled on the AE part as a +1, we thought this would be just as confusing.

Details

  • Keeps the ball stud in the kit location but moves the ball up 1mm so you don't have to run a shim.
  • Makes working on the car easier by eliminating the shim that always falls off to oblivion.
  • You have to run the 1mm shim with the kit setup, otherwise, you will bind up the dogbone by pinching the bearing with the molded hubs so we just removed that issue.
  • Made with 7075-T6 and anodized black with silver chamfer highlights on both sides for that extra shimmer.
  • Laser-etched Avid logo with +1 to signify the ball stud is being raised 1mm.
  • Replaces AS92441.
