Press Release From Avid RC:

Avid XB2 24/25’ Arm Mounts | Rear Roll Center Holder | Machined Shock Internals / Shock Pistons are now available in a Limited Edition Run.

We have only made a few of these to test out if the Xray market would like more options. If these sell well we will make a larger production of them.

The Avid Xray XB2 24/25 -2° C Arm Mount was first innovated by us for the B6.3 and has turned into a must-have if you are racing on high-bite surfaces such as carpet or turf. This mount frees up the vehicle in the turns and when landing jumps sideways such as corner tabletops. Typically, to get to the low rear toe settings that you need on carpet, you have to start narrowing the pills through the D Mount which is increasing side bite by decreasing your trackwidth. Our C Arm mount prevents that from happening by widening the C pivot block, thus starting you at 1 deg of rear toe with centered pills on the C and D mount instead of 3. You will be amazed at how well your car handles with less rear toe when done in the correct fashion.

The Avid Xray XB2 24/25 -2° Narrow D Arm Mount is one way to get to less toe the Xray way by narrowing the D mount like they do with their 1 degree mount. Even though we don't believe this is the best way to do this because you are essentially trying to get less rear traction but at the same time narrowing the rear end. This is why we made our innovative -2 Wide C Arm Mount for several vehicles. We just made this one since this is what all Xray drivers are used to and. This mount frees up the vehicle in the turns and when landing jumps sideways such as corner tabletops. When running this mount, when you are running the pills in the centered position you will be at 1 degree of rear toe instead of 3. Instead of calling 1 degree like Xray does, we choose to stick with the conventional naming we already use by telling you how many degrees it removes. Replaces XRA323326

The Avid Xray XB2 24/25 Arm Mount C was made if you would like to match it with one of our other D Mounts. It is matte black anodized and laser etched with our logo. Replaces XRA323315

The Avid Xray XB2 24/25 Rear Roll-Center Holder replaces the kit plastic mount for more durability and precision when setting your rear camber. It is matte black anodized and laser etched with our logo. Replaces XRA323043 and XRA323044

The Xray Machined Shock Spacers fit the recent 13.2mm for the Xray XB2 and XB4 '24. They are machined with a Swiss lathe so they are perfectly true and from a self-lubricating plastic to ensure they are super smooth while maintaining strength.

The Machined 13.2mm pistons for the new Xray big bore shocks are the thicker 2.5mm style. They offer a conventional setup but with a perfectly machined round piston and square 90° edges for a tight-fitting piston that has little blow-by creating more pack on jumps. The Xray ground piston only comes in blanks and it has a slight indention cut on the top taking away from its total thickness. Over the years here at Avid, we have developed a process of keeping all the edges sharp with little to no burrs to keep your confidence high when landing big jumps.

Piston Tips
- A square 90° angle on the piston edge and holes is one of the most overlooked advantages of a machined piston. Our pistons have very sharp edges and sometimes this leaves a small amount of flashing that can easily be removed with your fingernail. Do NOT use a nail file or anything abrasive.
-We have taken out the engraving on the piston face to identify the hole size in order to keep the face smooth for performance and also helps keep the costs down. So it is recommended to use a Sharpie to mark the tops of them for easy identification.

Piston Features
-Fits the new 13.2mm shocks for Xray (13mm bore, 3mm shaft hole, 2.5mm thick).
-Machined perfectly round with square 90° edges for a tighter fit to the bore of the shock body for less blow-by creating more pack on jumps.
-This 2.5mm thickness allows the shock to pack more on big landings and better corner stability.
-Upgrade for XRAY368032.
-Each package includes (2) 2x1.5 pistons inside of a Doodad container printed with the AVID logo.
