Infinity has officially announced its upcoming IF14 touring car, developed in conjunction with the company’s all-star racing team at marquee events like the Euro Touring Series, Asian On-Road Championship, Thailand International Touring Car Championship and more. The car is scheduled to go on sale in mid-May.
Based on the CX11 from Speedmaster Japan, the new car features a symmetrical 2.25mm-thick chassis and 2mm-thick upper deck, while the lower suspension arms are attached to the aluminum front and rear bulkheads - which are fitted with bushings for easy geometry changes - which results in more consistent chassis flex. Both ends employ low-profile, big-bore shocks with SMJ Silver Line springs, can be fitted with one-piece or split-type sway bars, and red-anodized aluminum turnbuckles are used throughout. An aluminum, 20-tooth center pulley spins a 38-tooth solid axle in the front and a 38-tooth, oil-filled rear gear differential. Double-jointed, CV-style front driveshafts will be included as standard, as is the aluminum battery holder.
