New JConcepts Toolboxes

In development for quite some time, JConcepts has set out to bring new toolbox and storage box options to market. Racers are always looking for better and easier ways to organize. The toolbox, designed from the ground up specifically for RC, incorporates many features already used in the pits but is modeled for the RC enthusiast.

One of JConcepts’ most expensive injection-molded items to date, the project began by designing the lower box, which can be paired with two different functional covers. A racer’s best friend, the JC team aimed to combine aspects of their favorite options into three usable choices for travel or home organization.

One key aspect of this project was enhancing organization and refining the system. While dividers in traditional storage boxes are handy, they often slide, move, or fall out during use. JConcepts set out to secure these dividers by designing a system where they are fixed with screws from the underside of the box. All dividers can be locked into place with the included hardware. The box's interior has been rearranged to allow more RC-specific space and compartments.

Additionally, the team from Groveland, Florida, designed and included two wedges for the lid stay. These can be placed at the top of the lower box to hold a specific opening position for use in the pits or at home. The JConcepts toolbox features an upper compartment attached to the lid, which also has dividers that can be screwed in place for stability. Depending on how a racer uses the upper compartment and the weight of its contents, the lid wedges may not support it. It's important to adjust accordingly.

The storage box, with its flat lid, is intended for spares and items requiring organization in multiple sizes and spaces. The toolbox includes a specialized lid with additional upper storage capacity. Both boxes come with hardware, dividers, and lid stay wedges. The lids are branded with the JConcepts logo for authenticity, and heavy-duty corner-style latches provide secure closure.

Every racer requires storage for screws or smaller items, and dividers that provide solid separation. The small storage box by JConcepts offers another dynamic way to travel or organize with style and peace of mind. As with the larger boxes, the team used screws to secure the dividers and added a radius at the bottom of each divider for easier removal of small items. Small screws and parts are now much easier to grasp thanks to the secured dividers and the rounded-bottom compartments.

All the storage and toolboxes are custom injection-molded components from JConcepts and feature smoke-gray lids and black bottoms for a sleek, stealthy appearance in the pits. The new boxes are packaged in custom zip-top bags, featuring printed JConcepts.net logos and quick QR code access to the website.
