New and Updated Pro-Line Gear
With hardly a moment to spare before the big event, Pro-Line managed to introduce a pair of 1/8 Buggy tires (one new, one redesign) and a new blend of CA glue and updated easy to use bottle here at the 2012 IFMAR 1/8 Buggy Worlds in Argentina. One of which is named, Diamond Back.
You may be asking yourself, “Why the name Diamond back?” Well, it’s in reference to the tread patterns similarity to that of a Diamond Back rattle snake. Besides the snake like tread pattern, the tire also features Pro-Lines latest rubber known as compound X which offers M3 softness with M2/XTR wear characteristics. The small to mid size lug pattern has tightly grouped lugs that are larger in the center to help improve rolling efficiency while tapping to smaller size as it reaches the outside of the tire for improved cornering.
The 2nd tire is a revised version of the 2006 IFMAR World Champion tire, Bow-Tie. Many may have not known this, but some time back Pro-line introduced a brand new tire carcass that featured a wider and rounder profile for improved performance. The Bow-Tie looks to be the first of Pro-lines legacy tires to receive this revised carcass and a slightly updated tread pattern. Could the updated Bow-Tie win a 2nd IFMAR World Title?
Finally, is an updated formula of CA glue with a swanky new bottle and easy to use applicator that simply slides over the main stem and “snaps” into place. The days of having to fish the tip applicator tip into the glue bottle stem are over. Plus, the newly designed tips feature a sturdier design making it far easier to insert it into those hard to heard locations without having to deal with a flimsy tip.
