Without a doubt, the RC dirt oval racing scene is beginning to once again grow in popularity. With the growth comes advancement in technology, design, and competition. All of this results in the need for specified rules and organization for many of the classes. One of those classes is the extremely popular SC Modified class. Scotty Ernst, promoter of the RC Chili Bowl evnet, has announced the highly-anticipated new rules for the 2018 RC Chili Bowl event regarding the SC Modified class via Facebook.

When SC Modified first started, the concept was great but unfortunately over the past few years, things have gotten out of hand and I felt a more specific set of rules was needed for our event. I started a conversation with the main SC Modified chassis companies and as of late some track owners have joined to work out a rule set that would give a more defined rule of what would be allowed in this class. Below are the rules for SC Modified Chassis specifications for the 2018 RC Chili Bowl. www.rcchilibowl.com/rules
I would like to thank everyone that was involved in making the rules. Next I will be forming a group of body manufactures to get a more defined rule set for SC Modified Bodies. Entries for the 2018 RC Chili Bowl will go live on Sept 20th at 5pm Central Time at http://www.rcchilibowl.com/registration
We are looking forward another great event and hope all of our friends can join us.
Thank you,
Scotty
