At 1 PM yesterday Facebook user John Gugliuzza posted a couple of screenshots in the Facebook group RC10B6 Nation showing what Team Associated shared on Snapchat, showing a pile of the brand’s previous 2WD buggies in a photo studio. Seems innocent enough, right?
The caption he included said “Possibly the rc10b7 coming soon?” and the post racked up 47 Likes along with 45 comments of people claiming insider info, making jokes, and asking for new 6-series stadium and short course trucks.
I don’t believe, for one second, that Team Associated - with a well-documented history of using social media to raise excitement for upcoming releases, like the weeks leading up to when the B6 and B64 were released - just happened to gather their photo cars for a couple of group carfies. The current iteration of the B6 and B6D were released last April, so while I don’t expect an all-new car (which, eventually, would be called a B7 I’m sure) this could be a B6.1 or B6 Factory Team kit.
Or it could be nothing, and I’m just using my imagination. But with the Reedy Race coming this weekend, and the racing season for 2018 kicking off, the timing just seems too perfect.
